On the Lake with Rob PiorkowskiRob Piorkowski is a Field Editor for Midwest Outdoors Magazine, and contributes to several Midwest publications such as Illinois Outdoors. When not wading rivers with a flyrod searching for bass or trout, He can be found hiking the shoreline of a local lake. Rob travels and fishes mostly in the Midwest: Illinois, Wisconsin, Missouri, Arkansas and Ohio. Bass, panfish, walleye or trout can be the preferred species depending upon the mood of the day. He can feel at home flyfishing a world class trout stream, or tossing a buzzbait at a local farm pond for largemouth bass. Rob believes in the old saying, "Do you enjoy fishing or catching?" He prefers fishing, the catching aspect is just an added benefit. Nothing can compare to the memories he's collected from fishing with family and friends. If they don't catch anything, there is always next time. |
