20+ coho on the Dungeness River 2008

I am an avid fisherman almost obsessed. I was adopted when i was 10. I use to escape to the river to get some alone time. One day i brought a fishing pole and i have never put it down since. I learned everything i know about salmon fishing through hard work. No one taught me. I did the reading, footwork, map readings, talking to locals you name it i have done it. Now it is rare that i go out and not catch at least one fish. I usually release most of the fish. I tie my own jigs, repair my own rods, cure my own eggs, repair and maintain my own reels and i will be making my own rods here soon. I try to teach anyone on the river who will listen and needs the help. I teach them how to read the water and where the fish will hold depending on the water level, time of day, time of year, and fishing pressure. I love every thing about the sport. I bank fish the rivers and will walk an easy 2 miles in search of good water and holding fish. i will fish till i die. I will teach my kids and grandkids how to fish and conservation.
