2002 Fall Trout Stocking Begins October 7
The West Virginia Division of Natural Resources’ 2002 fall trout stocking will take place during the weeks of October 7 and 15 (October 14 is a holiday), according to Mike Shingleton of the Division of Natural Resources Wildlife Resources Section. Approximately 35,000 pounds of trout will be stocked during the two-week period in 26 streams and 9 lakes as indicated in the 2002 fishing regulations.

The DNR advises anglers that there are two changes for the fall stocking season. Brandywine Lake in Pendleton County has been drained by the U.S. Forest Service to facilitate repairs and remove excess sediment and therefore, will not be stocked this fall.
Recent rains have provided much relief and increased flows in the state’s streams, which had experienced near record low flows following two months of very dry weather. The DNR expects to be able to stock all waters as scheduled.
If the Lord's willing, You'll be Blessed.
