Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone has heard any reports from this weekend. I planned on coming up tomorrow to fish with my Bro-In-Law, but not sure it will be worth it? I'm assuming we probably missed the height of the white fish run.... but are there still a few in?

Thanks for any info,

Cdragon

Wyoming guys??? Crestliner???
While reading this saga I started to wonder if my best Wyoming friend was wreaking havoc in my home state with my fellow Utahns.
BUT, I knew it couldn't be you, the only havoc I've ever seen you wreak is on the walleye on our Powell trips.
Speaking of walleye and Powell, how does the first week or so of April sound........

There were several Lund boats from WY fishing for WF during the tournament and only one of them were being jerks. It was easy to spot the jerks. They had a big yellow WY bucking bronco sticker on the side of the boat near the rear. After my first encounter with them a few days before, I kept a long distance away from them. However, while fishing away from them, I did watch them do the same thing they were doing when they got chewed out by me.......cutting right in between two closely anchored boats making it difficult to cast and/or fish. I asked Pugstones to disqualify them from the tournament, but not sure if that happened.

Not trying to beat a dead horse here, but posting a picture of a boat that got "too close" is a pretty immature thing to do. I love to fish Bear Lake, especially for whitefish. There are places that out produce others, and with that there is some pretty significant pressure in those areas. That being said, when I go to fish for whitefish or cisco, I go knowing full well that there will be people fishing close to me. Thirty or 40 yards is more than a reasonable distance, given the circumstances.

I fished a Lake Ontario tributary one year for browns. Ten to 15 FEET was generous distance there. I knew that going in, and as much as I would have like less company than that, that is what it was. I put on my big boy pants, was courteous and had a good time.

On several occasions, fishing Bear Lake, at the same location as you, for whitefish, we have had boats quite literally a spitting distance away. No harm, no foul. It is what it is. So long as no lines are cut or fish are lost as a result, people can fish very near each other and not have any issues. This year we have had many boats much, much closer than that to us. Not a big deal. No one casted over our lines. No feelings hurt. No secret spot or lure revealed.

A couple years ago I had a good friend anchored off the rockpile. He literally had a guy get his downrigger weight get caught in his anchor rope. Both are members of this forum. Neither knew each other. They untangled, and went on their merry way. No post made, and certainly no pictures were spread around the internet, slandering the boat and owner.

My point is. Grow up. I have been threatened by administrators in the past to be kicked off the forum for less than this post about these inconsiderate heathens. We dont need to act like little kids, on this forum, or out on the water.

Tight lines everyone!

BLFG I think those guys were from California, probably borrowed the boat from someone in Wyo., or stole it.
