walleye spot? (lehi area)
I live in Lehi and was wondering where some good spots to try and get into a wally or two im used to fishing southern utah lake areas like the lincoln beach/orchards, sf river mouth etc but am not familiar with northern part of the lake. today seemed like a perfect walleye day so i hit af boat harbor for most the morning with no luck. Im just looking for a spot i could drag some jigs from shore after work. any suggestions.

also wondering about pelican point area dont seem to see many fishing reports from that area.

thx.

Water temps have been up and down so the walleyes have not shown up in numbers anywhere.

You can sometimes find a few around the rocks on the outside of the dikes at both Lindon and American Fork harbors. There have been some taken at Saratoga Springs Marina at Pelican Bay.

It is hit or miss but there have also been some good walleyes taken wading along the shoreline at the Knolls. They move in and out.

In May and June...post spawn...join the wading warriors at the American Fork River inlet just west of the harbor. Both white bass and walleyes.

Pelican Point is closed to the public...for vehicle access. But if you come in from the lake there is lots of rock and the walleyes do show up there. But, like you say, not many people fish it.

Ditto for the smaller Jumbers Point between El Nautica and Saratoga Springs Marina at Pelican Bay. Some underwater structure there that if you learn it can pay some dividends. Don't know what the walkin access is now with all the new development along that shoreline.

I don't think that you have much walking access from Ski Natuica north along the golf course. You can drive down into some of the new developments there and see if you can access the lake from some of the undeveloped lots, but they may frown on it. As TD said, Pelican point is available only by the lake. The golf course and new homes have pretty much shut off most of the west side of the lake other than the Pelican Bay Marina.

Pelican Bay has lots of rock, but it is very difficult to walk along both inside the harbor and outside.
