Let's go fishing! I prefer to fish with others. I'm well equipped with plenty to share and have a vehicle with amazing off road and winter driving capabilities to get us to even hard to reach fishing and ice fishing destinations. Let's team up! Private Message me to suggest I come to where you're fishing or plan a trip with me!

Who here is a surf fisherman? That's my next big vacation. I've already purchased top equipment for surf fishing. I'm looking to hire a guide or go with someone experienced.

Date proposal to single young BFT fisherladies with courage enough to put a worm on a hook: Saturday, December 7: Join me as my date at my company Christmas Party, meet my friends of many years, enjoy an amazing dinner at our table as we watch a wonderful Christmas play. I can pick you up or meet you there.

Thanks Alan I really enjoyed that get together. What an incredible gathering of knowledgeable anglers. Every year I wish I could drag that evening out longer so I could get more time to visit with more people a little longer.

For those that didnít join us, Old Coot is moving to the north west soon. Ralph has put up with too many of my questions over the years and itís sort of sad to see a great mentor moving on, but I sure want to wish him well in angler heaven. (Oregon/Washington/BC, not like the afterlife)

BDuck, AFDan52, Rocky, TubeDude and Babe, Ice_Sled, Ahi1953 and so many others that I have looked up to over the years, it was quite a gathering of The Whoís who. Lots of new faces and new friends as well. Thanks everyone for coming it was a lot of fun. Boy I shouldnít have started naming names there are so many I should be including Cowboy&Cookie, Catchingon, Mooseman and the boys, RonPaul, Jigfisher, RU2U (Richard and Violet), Gaardvark & Josh and so many others that I didnít get a chance to visit with or my terrible memory has forgotten your screen names. Sorry for my weakness there, all the spouses and kids or grandkids that came, thanks so much. Really glad to see so many join us. Thanks Jeff

Thanks Jeff & Craig, I also had a great time, it was wonderful putting names to faces as well as hooking up with those I've known for a while. I'm looking fwd to crossing paths more on the water and might try the hard deck a little this year.

Hey Forest, I thought he was with you... Kind of a quite guy and he didn't laugh at my fishing jokes either...

Was nice to see ya again and I appreciated the help getting things set up... Hey what were your thoughts about the way we did the door prizes last night? I was so impressed with all the cool prizes folks donated... Wish'en I'd of drawn earlier for one of those reels Ralph donated... however, I'm excited to have a Ben audio graphed ice rod... Looked like Pat better be good since Deloris picked up that machete sized buba fillet knife that Rocky brought in... I'd like to catch a fish big enough to put that knife to work... But then again I'd lose my whole finger if I goofed with that one... Hey Forest thanks for being such a solid supporter of our events.. Don't remember if you have ever missed any of them.. Thanks Later Jeff

Fishin'

Yeah, I did finally make it home...in time to take my meds. At least I think I did. I don't remember.

Add my appreciation to the effort in putting the thing together. It ain't easy...especially when there are ten things competing for every minute of your day.

It is always great to see old friends (and a few young ones). Kind of a downer to hear that my old friend (Old Coot) will be leaving our neighborhood. But I know he will find plenty of fishies up there to keep him busy. Kind of envy him really. I have spent quite a bit of time in the past on Puget Sound and surroundings...fishing, crabbing, and "fooding". It is a wonderful part of the world. Wet a lot, but still wonderful in between rain drops.

Bon Voyage, Ralph. Hope you drop in and update us once in a while. And I shall treasure the autographed relief map I acquired from you last night. It will have a happy home.

What a great way to say goodby to you all. The food was really good, all put together very well, but most of all, I was really grateful to meet so many life long friends who have taught me so much over the last 20 years or so. I love you guys and gals ... I really do.

Yeh, I needed to prank Pat a little bit. He gave me smart comebacks from the very start last night, but all in good natured fun Wink
I can only remember missing one gathering, and half of another since I joined BFT, that was the Cat Contest dinner 2 years ago. Wife had to work that night, and I flat forgot about it. And a Willard Flotilla 2 years ago, we made it for the fishing part, but left before the lunch part. I had to make a trip to the Urgent Care for what turned out to be a case of pink eye........yuck....Mad
I did like the door prize system last night.......wish I had been able to get into my storage unit in time to collect some things to contribute. Only part I didn't like Unsure was you got that last ice pole I had my eye on for my grandson. Wink I hope to get him started next summer. I have a youth life jacket from the Lincoln Beach Flotilla in May that should fit him well. Gonna start him off next spring at some of the community ponds, then if he shows an interest, get him out in the boat on Willard on some calm days. If he gets the fishin bug like his mom and uncles did, I just may have to invest in a bigger "Tin-Can".

Hey Forest sorry about snagging that pole, I may have to get one headed your direction, but I wanted the Ben pole to remember a good friend when he heads south to Texas... Was kind of sad last night seeing those two taking off to greener pastures in the next few months and Ralph doing the same shortly... When I get my ice gear set up this winter I'll see if I can send a pole your direction.. Later Jeff

You asked why I donít usually keep any fish? Maybe the knife has something to do with that. Did you go fishing today? Guess we have family stuff this weekend so I probably wonít get out, or if I do it will have to be close and short duration. Not sure how I feel about the weather? I should be tickled, but part of me is ready for more ice. Later Jeff

Jeff,
Don't worry about that pole, I wasn't serious about not liking the fact you got that one. I found a nice Ugly Stick all one piece ice pole with a nice Optix 20 reel at Sportsman's last night. Got that for the grandson for part of his Christmas Wink
Have a good weekend.
I am taking my truck in @ 0915 for a safety recall on the brake booster.

Okay, sounds like a good one... I actually have two of those rods that I use for my jaw jackers, they work really well for that... Good luck with recall... Jeff
