It's been quiet in here. I haven't had much of a chance to go figure out where the fish are... especially now that they're a layer of unsafe ice on the lakes. Haven't tried the rivers yet. Might be able to locate something in the moving water, but not sure.

Do fish caught through the ice count in this contest?

that's what i say to call the fish in , some times i sing to them too but , i usually end up having the fish throw rocks at me then .

you will have untill January 10th

to to get in that vacation fish.

we know that there are going to be a few anglers out on the water these next 10 days, How do we know? just by looking at the solunar tables anglers already know that the fish are going to be bitting. Also if you have any fish sitting on a roll in your camera some where now is a good time to finish off that roll over the holidays and get them in to be developed and back in time to scan them

looks like my points are totaled for the year! I havent fished since October! And Had I had a BFT shirt with me my salmon fishing day, I have added mroe points!

And yes, I have NOT fallen off the Earth! Just been busy! :)

I am the only one that got fishing gear.

Celeste, my 6 yr old, bought me a micro-ultralight for trout fishing.
funny thing is, it's just like the one I already own, so I KNOW she is planning on using it.. which is FINE with me!!!!

here she is with her second ever Brown Trout last year....
see my spare ultralight on the ground? That one only works so so... but NOW... I have another Shakespeare!

well if that dont look like a wall hanger!!! frame that baby and put it on the desk or a wall.

You can take your old reel open it up and wash it out with dish soap. (dawn and water) allow it to dry then hit it up with some reel lube.

(available almost any where for a couple bucks, one container will last a good long time and well worth the price)
