Megabait Buck Tail Jig (Closed)

MegaBait proudly presents its Bucktail Jigs for 2004

Two Members of Bigfishtackle.com will be given the opportunity to put the Bucktail Jig to the test.

A review article with pictures is expected in return.

Any one wishing to test any two of these Bucktails size and color of choice will need to submit a picture of your self holding a fish, and a brief summery of how you intend to present this lure and to what species you think this lure will work best.

Only those who are serious about testing this product will be considered.

I too will be testing the Bucktail Jigs out on the ice this season.

Megabait has a lure to meet most all your fishing needs for salt and fresh water angling.

Donít take my word for it, check my score out on the Bigfishtackle.com 2004 16 species contest.

On that forum feel free to ask me any questions you may have about an Extreamlure product and if I have it I will be more than happy to share how I presented these fine quality lures.

I had one thing going for me in 2004 and that was a line of Megabait Lures to do the work for me.

Then check out these hot items for your tackle box

I use Bucktails in the summer fishing for Fluke(Summer Flounder)
the colors I would like are #26and #28 in the 3 ounce size I fish them as teasers tied about 24 inches ahead of my main hook on a 12 inch dropper and tip it with a strip of squid on my main hook usually a 4/0 or 5/0 Kahle hook I use a live Killie and squid strip this is a deadly combo for Fluke and the bucktail teaser usually gets the bigger ones if they are around

These work very well on strippers bounceing the bottom about one foot off the bottom. Had to use 16 oz lead to get it there but it produced a 46" fish. The pictures on the wall.

Have fun guys! These Megabait products are first class and they do work. There's plenty of proof on this website.

I think I've got one or two myself in my summer tackle. I should try them through the ice.

I would love to try these bucktail jigs out. I fish for musky, lake trout, and stripers here in utah and think they would work great for all. I guide for musky in the spring and summer and try all kinds of lure trying to find the right lure. so I can say they would be used.

I've tried there live metal jig and lost it on a big musky in the ice hole.Frown
it was a great looking jig and worked just how I hoped. so I'm sure these new bucktail will too. so let me give um a try.
This is one of the muskies I've hooked here in utahCool

i would like to try #28 and 33 for spring crappie. i would use a slow retrieval with what i call "double jigging".if it works here in missouri i'd let you know. i've been using tail jigs since i was big enough to pick up a rod

I'd love to give those lures a try. I fish in all types of diverse conditions from salt to fresh water, summer to winter. I haven't seen these particular jigs before, and am always up to try different rigs to find something more efficient. Send one my way if i'm not too late to give'em a whirl.

Hi,
I could really put these jigs to the endurance test!
I travel to minnesota for a week long canoe pack-trip every year. We will fish sun up till dark every day for a week.

we only take lures that are proven and reliable. The lures we choose have to withstand abuse from hundreds of strikes by large toothy predators. PIKE/WALLEYE/LAKERS

We use mostly spoons because they are strong. Plastic jigs don't stand a chance.
Last year we were thinking that bucktails would could have been the ticket, because the spring was COLD and the fish were in slow motion during the first of our week.

I will be trying bucktails this year and I have a good idea that they will produce!!

I would be happy to test these jigs while in the boundary waters this year.

1 ounce sizes, and red/white, chartreuse/white, look like the best choice for how I will be fishing.

I could put alot of hours into these jigs.

I did use megabait yabby last year and it made the pike absolutley insane!! I had one fish slam it hard enough to throw it up out of the water, drenched me! then spooked at the canoe.
