Thanks for the map. where can I get one ?cannot read the isobars and depths on that one.
had good success .... suspended in the morning-on the bottom around noon..... identical as everyone else that did good on this post. our group iced a few dozen, and missed a few dozen light bites- biggest 21" and a few keepers on the small side, no bows, all released.
measured the ice with a tape, out in the bay it was 12" clear and 13" cloudy .
closer too shore it was 14" clear with 15"of cloudy.
more dense and easier to drill through than previous trips
......how long can strawberry ice last?

All I did was take a picture of it. I bought it at Sportsmans Warehouse.

The ice is usually completely gone on May 1st. Usally about the 1st or 2nd week of April the ice becomes real slushy and then it becomes unsafe to walk on and then the ice will come off. So there is not much time left to ice fish strawberry but thats alright with me, I would rather fish it from a boat any way.

Last year I ice fished Strawberry on April 3rd, but it was really iffy. On April 19th I fished it from the shore (we wished we would have brought a boat) and there was only a little thin ice left in a couple of the bays. If it warms up and it rains on that ice it will melt extremely fast.

You can go to www.topozone.com and get a map of Strawberry. You can move around and zoom in on any part of the map you want.

Topozone wont give you depth in water .

Lot of places sell the map . I own all maps in Utah except Lake Powell and it has been a good investment .

I purchased a Fish N Go Strawberry Map from Sportsman's yesterday and it cost less than $5.00. I already owned a Fisn N Go Strawberry Map, but mine was a few years old and it didn't have the names on some of the points and other areas. It does show many of the names, and it shows the depths. If someone is short on funds and would like the old map (for free) send me a PM. I work in the SLC area not far from the airport, and I live in the Bountiful area, and you would have to pick up the map.
