Snow Pack
Unsure Snow pack here in Utah is said to be 60% of normal. I think that's pretty generous actually. We just haven't had the storms. We have had some frigid temps but not nearly enough snow for those beloved Powder days!Frown

Yeah BEARCLAW, yer right on there.

This old powder hound hasn't had much in the way of turn carving lately. It seems like my skis have had more dust on them than powder this year.

But, we are not done with the snow year yet. Remember, some of our best snow fall comes in March and April - it's just not usually the lightest and driest powder of the year.

I'm still holding out hope (and praying often) for those late season storms Fishhound! It seems my skiis cry out everytime I walk past them in the garage. Winter just won't seem complete without at least one good pow day...Wink

Man, I wish I could go skiing. I've never been, nore been anywhere that I could go. Down in SC, just driving the car is a "winter sport." LOL, that should tell you how much snow we get here. 0

I think it's snowed 5 or 6 times in the last 15 years or so. I mean snow and actually stuck. We might get a snow flurry every now and then, but it only last a few minutes and it might as well just be raining. Unimpressed

your only a few hours away from some quality cross country skiing and trout fishing in west virginia.

I too wished I could go skiing, "dag-burnd auto axident"

I remember the first time I went, I was sore for three days. then I went and bought me an hour ski lesson... the difference was day and night. and was worth it at twice the price.... I needed about 10 more lessons to keep up with the snow bunnies, Wink.

sure miss those days.... skiing is a party every day of the week... almost as fun as ice fishing...Laugh

Chasing the "snow bunnies" eh? LOL, in the cold weather, I wouldn't know what to do with one if I caught it. Unsure................Sly

Well, the smokies are right up the road, and i'm sure they've got plenty of skiing, and I know the trout fishing is good up there. It's like I was telling Gregg the other day, when it's cold outside, I have a hard time making past the fireplace. Smile

If ya catch one, you take it back in to the lodge next to the fire place to worm it up with hot co-co.

then you let it go and try catching it again... Tongue

you kind of remind me of the old badger in the faible "Wind in the Willow" Cool
