Re: [dremarysol] Product Reviewers Needed - ASAP!! In reply to
Dre, I'm a 36 year old male living in Grand Rapids, Michigan. On average I fish about 3 days a week in all seasons. I was particulary interested in the polarized sunglasses because I do a lot of fishing while wading out in the river and have in fact lost a pair of sunglasses. (Salmon in the fall, Steelhead in the spring, & Walleye all season long) I would be more than happy to provide you with a detailed product review of the sunglasses and any other freshwater gear that you may have to be tested. Thank you for your consideration, Mike

I am a little confused if you are needing a review for books, or for sunglasses (the link in the post goes to a sunglasses site). I am 31, from Idaho Falls Idaho and fish 1-3 days/week in the spring through fall then twice a month in the winter. I also ski and hunt frequently during the fall and winter months.

If it is for a book I may be interested in reviewing it. I assume it would be of a fishing nature, in which case I would love to review it. I'm always looking for a little more information on how to improve my fishing or at least hear some good fishing stories. I have a college degree and like the majority of people out there had to do many book reports myself.

On the other hand if you need a tester for the sunglasses I just barely came into the market for a new pair since my last ones died after I sat on them while fishing. I have a little extra insite on what makes a good pair of glasses d/t my father being an optician, and from what little I have learned of his field could offer extra insite on this product.

Hello Dre !

So many people want an item but sadly enough don't fulfill the one requirement that the sponsor was counting on , an honest evaluation .

If there is an item that suits the type of fisherman that I am I would be more than willing to try a product of your choosing and give it that honest evaluation the sponsor requires .

About me ;
I've been fishing for about 46 of my 50 years of my life in the Great Lakes region including Canada and in parts of the Central and Eastern U.S.A. .

I prefer the inland lakes and streams of Michigan but do go for the Walleye and Muskey out on the big waters .

My primary targeted species is Steelhead , it's a year round love affair . I've fished the Manistee river and the AuSable river when it was snowing and 20 below zero for hours on end . There have even been times when the bite wasn't on I would drive across state in the same day to try my luck on the rivers over there . This happens mostly during the spawning Salmon runs and I wouldn't have it any other way , I think i'm beyond being a fishing fanatic .

I don't believe in snaging or tight lining a fish , foul hooked fish are not something I keep either . A guy has to live by his standards or might as well give up the sport all together .

Locally , I fish the rivers and streams for brown and brook trout . On the inland lakes muskey ,northern pike ,sturgeon ,walleye and yes , the mighty bluegill !
My friends and I have our own little running joke about one day making the "Pro Bluegill Tour " a reality .

90 % of my fishing is catch and release , 95% of my fishing is lite line fishing .
I very rarely use anything over 8# test line with 4# and 6# being my favorite test line weight . As far as a line manufacturer I prefer , that depends on the place and type of fishing I am doing that day . You have to have the right tools for the job to "Get er' done !"

Most of my fishing rods are St.Croix or Jim Grant rods . For the Muskey and Sturgeon I use my BigFishTackle.com 30# saltwater rod , it has never failed to bring in the monsters from the deep .

My fishing reels are primarily from the Shimano line of products . I find great comfort using the Shimano Sustain 2500 and Stradic 2500 openface spinning reels because they have never ever failed me during a fight under any circumstances or conditions. Shimanos Sedona 4000 is the reel I most often use for fishing Channel Catfish .

I usually go threw 3 sets of stocking foot waders in a season and two pairs of wading boots . Fishing vests , well , I change them like shirts , I just can't seem to find the right one for myself , but i'll keep looking .

Tackle , there is my wives pet peave . I'll buy a few lures here and there and if I find it to be inferior , I'll give them to whatever kid is fishing in the area that day . A kid with more tackle regardless of it's quality will fish more than if he/she didn't have the tackle .
A kid can never have too much tackle in my opinion . I give away a lot of tackle to them .

That about sums me up , if you think you have a product that would be in need of testing by a guy like me , drop me a P.M. and I'll be glad to serve you and your sponsor with an honest evaluation .

Thank you ,
Allen (lonehunter , Michigan Moderator)

I would be glad to write reviews for you.. I have considerable experience in the review process having published my own gaming magazine in the 90s and currently managing several review style websites along with writing a monthly column in a print magazine in a non fishing industry..

I have experience in writing engaging and entertaining reviews that strive to find the good points in everything while maintaining an honest review..

If you would like to talk with me about reviewing a book for you, please feel free to PM me.. I look forward to hearing from you..

I don't think this offer is still available as it is almost two years old now but even if it were it does no good to reply to me about this, you need to reply to the person that started the thread. Just in case you don't already know this, when you reply to anyone on this site they are notified by an Email. If the person that started this thread does not get an Email notice she or he would not even know you are interested. WH2

Re: [lunkerhunter2] Book Reviewers Wanted! In reply to
My guide days are over... I stickly do research & development for different lure manufactures to see if we can make products that satisfy fisherman needs... Reviewing books is one of my hobbies too, tons of imformation can come from the newest available books.... If I do stamp my name on an product you darn well better believe me it is a great one.... These days it is a challenge to meet criteria fisherman are looking for because we can't be throwing dynamite into the water, or can we??? No!!! But we need to develope products that will maximize the catch for every angler so they go home satisfied and happy...
