Was the moss breaking loose? GOod luck on the big browns, I have been hunting them the last couple of weeks without success. I lost a nice one at my feet on the Wind last weekend on a big streamer. Maybe he will be hungry Sunday :).

No, the moss wasn't breaking loose. Yesterday the area was on the edge of a mild cold front with clouds just to the north and I guess that produced all that wind. I'll probably try it again this weekend if looks a little calmer. It's seems the big browns are a little later than normal showing up but hopefully they'll be there today.

I caught one in Thermop that was very colored, but have not seen them in great numbers. The water tem over here last weekend was 57 and I think I read somewhere that the spawn starts at about 50 degrees. You would think they would be getting active, but I am not a biologist by any means. Good luck this weekend. Let us know how it is.
