Fishing

 i went down last night and put a hurtin on some channels i must have caught around 15. i think they were feeding before the storm hit. 15lbs was the biggest but i fought a fish from 2 am until 3:30 this thing was huge it was bigger than the 30lbr i caught 2 yrs ago i would guess it was close to 40lbs man what a fight!! i drank 3 beers while fighting him lol my arms are still sore from the fight. white bass meat was the ticket.

Sorry pal, I can't believe you without proof. Do you have any video of you drinking those three beers or at least a photo of your empties.

you really think it was 40 lbs the record for ut is 32 lbs and something that would of blown away the state record
if you dont mind what area of the lake i have done pretty good at the lake side at the water gates

no photos but the beers were released without harm latter on in the night. and i would bet money that it would have broken the recored but it would have been turned in as the catch and release record and would have swam back just like the 30lber i caught 2yrs ago. i have met the guy that nets the carp and he said he has netted several that were pushing around 50lbs so there out there you just have to put your time in.

maan sounds like them beers put up some fight I stick with the smaller ones you can drink them faster

lol thats pretty good flyinfish. come on man give me a break i was trying to concentrate on the fish lol. i was ready for some criticism about the fish .. but not the beer thats some funny shi though.

Hey, that is some epic battle...kinda somewhere between Moby Dick and the Old Man and the Sea.

I was down there a few nights ago in my tube. I saw a glow down under the water and was able to hook something with a jig. I brought it up and it was an old lantern. It was inscribed "Brigham Young" on the side and IT WAS STILL LIT.

Yeah, yeah, I know. Without pictures it is just another story. Well, if you will take two beers, one hour and 20 pounds off that fish, I will put the lantern out.

Lol.. now is this the same thing that happens when you get drunk at the bar? the 5'6" slender blonde who looks like a super-model, who goes home with you, and you wake up to a 4'6" woman who looks like she ate 3 of the oompa-loompa's.. that the same as fighting a 40 lb fish for 1 1/2 hours, and it bein bigger than the 30lb'er you caught 2 years ago?

Thats sounds like the best fighting snag i have ever heard of. jk hey i believe ya man it just helps with a few pictures but what do ya have to prove you caught them you seen them justice is done in your eyes. way to go.

Going to school in provo, where do you guys go to fish Utah lake at night. I am not looking for your secret spots, i have fished the harbour but dont know if there open at nights. Just looking for shore access at night for catfish.

The kid is legit. He only has hard copies but even the pics of them he took with his camera phone and sent me are pretty freaking amazing. Here is what he sent me. Bigger than most of us have ever even seen in pics let alone caught.
Mind you, these are copies, of copies of copies. I know I havent caught a fish with a head bigger than mine. Cant wait to go fish with ya man. I will bring a good camera and post some pics if we go.

That is pretty crazy! I asked about the pics because I was hopin it would help out a little. He was takin some pretty good heat! That's what I love about this forum, we can all joke with each other and no one gets bent out of shape! Sweet pics, by the way!

Yeah, I wasnt directing my post at you. I just went up and read the first place I saw people asking about pics. I agree that this is a pretty mellow place to talk fishing. Nice fish for sure. All at night... tells ya something about those big ones and when they eat the most.
