fishing at Old Hiclory
Fishin'
good afternoon...i am going to assume i am sending this post out to people who might know any information on fishing old hickory near Henderson tn
My name is Donna and I am a co-angler with the WBT. i am heading down that way to fish the final stop of the 2009 season. I am currently sitting in 16th place and am in need of bait types and colors to be sure to bring with me.
i know the stores will be short on all the stuff working by the time i arrive after all the women that are going to be prefishing before the tournament.
i do have a basic idea that the water is stained.
i am planning on carolina rigging. texas rigging, throwing a couple differant weights of jigs, shallow(2-4) and deep(4-10) crankbaits. and a varity of spinner baits. i have green pumpkin, black and blue, watermelon red, and watermelon candy already stocked up...
is there any recomendations for spinnerbait and crank bait colors,,,
Thanks Donna Chicago Il ,,,
ps
please check out my pics at dmrspics.shutterfly.com
and leave a comment in the guets book...

ENJOY (one fish at a time)

Hi Donna, sory I did not see this sooner.

I found that in stained waters that metal flake white dose real well in crank bait and curlytail presentations.

for spinner baits, I like the yellow or chartruce mr. twisters....

you wouldnt mind sharing how the tourny turned out would ya?

in either case you can use the above info in the future for stained waters both clear and cloudy days..

its ok i did not do very well on this trip, but overall i finished 23'rd on the season and with a low drop i was 31st. missed the cut for the championships. but am looking forward to the 2010 season, the dates have been set for wheeler, san rayburn, lake belton, and finishing on the ouchita river in La...i will be going to Boosier City in a few weeks to view the weighs and see how the ladies do from behind the lens of my camera. i am in search of sponsors, particully looking for gear, such as a culling system rods reels and a jersey for sure.
