It is general purpose, meaning Trout, Bass, etc. It is 1/2 weight heavier at the front, like the Rio Grand, and shoots wonderfully.

Oy vey - this is getting too heavy for me. I mean I'm having trouble remembering everything that I already know. So I might just go back to the kite string, load it up with wax then coat it with muslin attach a furl leader, tippet, fly & on it. Just kiddin guys so you all have fun figuring out which line you want to string. So listen to the Goddess as she is a walking encyclopedia when it comes to fly lines.

Wait a minute...I have just tried several brands and these are only my feelings.
On other forums, people swear by Wulff Triangle Taper...I had it and didn't like it. Same with DT.

There are some lines I feel HELP newbies and even people that have been fishing for awhile. That is the ones I am mentioning.

No, I never swore by it. In fact the opposite. Mojo loves it.
I have my reasons, and as I said I have ONE and ONE rod that loves it.
I am a Weight Forward girl all the way.....that didn't come out right

As I recall you had suggested going with a DT line for my 2 wt rod, otherwise I would have never consider it. BTW I use a 3 wt line on my 2 wt rod. But hey I am satisfied with it's performance. I have used it on tight streams as well as wide open weirs. Might just try it next week on a river if the fish are running small.

There are rods that just love DT. My Shelbyville 3wt is the one I use it on.
I don't think DT works for me on full flex rods. I have to muscle it.

well since I spent the few dollars to have my dt spooled this past weekend I think I will try in on my shakespeare.. and maybe my launch..

sis... do you think it will work on the mojo rod???

I love it.. when I first started fly fishing I was using my shakespeare 5/6 wt rod and let me tell you that is one stiff rod .. but .. once I got the sage it was amazing.. I could really feel the rod.. and the line.. I have better control.. its like knowing in your mind that you should be feeling that tug on the rod tip by the fly line and actually feeling it... :-)

if I remember right the launch is listed as a medium fast action.. and I think it is a tip flex.. the shakespeare has a stiffer action and is a mid flex..

in case I have that wrong I am sure our sis will correct me.. LOL>.

Hummm - all my rods are mid flex and I don't feel that they're stiff at all. Perhaps it is just what one gets use to using. BTW the last trick or treaters came about a ½ hour ago. Seems like a lot of parents, especially the men stayed at home to watch the worlds series and or the SC game. Boy did the Ducks kick SCs a&& all over the field.

Yes, it helps. Thank you. I been doing a lot of research
on Launch rods and all the feedbacks are very good.
I really hoping to get one in 5wt and/or 3wt.
