Fishing

Dad and I hit Strawberry today with Kentofnsl, great company. Had a rough start, boat wouldnt start (new boat ), but finally got it started and we were off. Fish werent where kent had caught them the weeks before, of course, we were there. Now why would the fish be where we go? hehe. Was a very nice morning, water was glass. About 10:15, someone flipped the switch. Wind went from 0 to 60 in 0.2 seconds. Not really 60, but HARD. We decided after a bit and a couple fish to go into the narrows to get out of the wind. Then after a bit in there and only one fish we decided to head out into the bay and check the wind. Still blowing. We anchored up against a hill out of the wind a bit and nothing so we decided to go into a cove over by renegade. After finding the right spot to anchor, kent found the fish. The boat was swinging in arch and with kent on the back, he covered more area and got more fish. I only ended up with 2 and reeled in a crawdad. Dad caught quite a few and hooked a crawdad. All in all, not too bad of a day with the exception of the wind.

It was a pleasure fishing with you and your father today. Wish that the fish would have cooperated a little more, but we at least found a few willing ones. Different experience for me moving across Strawberry at 55 mph.

What??? Did you get a new/different boat??? Or were you in "his" boat? Your boat's just getting "broke in". Sounds like a tough day up there. Wind's always bad, but cold wind can be miserable. Glad you got into some fish, and hope you didn't slime your boat too bad.



Many a problem will solve itself if you'll forget it and go fishing.
