KEEP OFF THE ICE
We hit the ice today for the last time this year,
ariving around noon and staying well in to the dark.
The bite was slow again, and wouldnt ya know it I would froget to pack along the camera.
even tho the bite being slow we did ice some realy nice fish.
there were a cople 14 inch bass that went 3 pounds, one with a pike kiss.
a cople nice fat pike, one 24 and the other 26.
one 6lb LM Hawg 18 inches, a super fattie daddy... lol
no not a female with eggs..
half dozen nice crappie caught, and one saber tooth crappy swimming around breaking lines and steeling jigs. he would turn at the bottom of the hole just to show he was bigger than the hole we were trying to get him though
NO LIE... one of the lines he broke was braded line. The jig he stole from me was the same jig I has been using all winter.
around 8 pm, 2 of the three of us decide its time to go in, and pack up and we headed in about 8.30
I told my buddy, when he said he was headed out, I would follow right behind him so where ever he fell through at I would know to walk around. He said thanks your a lot of help, and I said, I know how to dial 911..
Sure enuff on our way back he went for the last ice babtism. He wasnt 4 maybe 5 feet from me at most.
after he got out and I was sure he was ok, I said, I was only jokin about you going though to find the holes, you didnt realy have to do that for me...
NEEDLESS TO SAY, STAY OFF THE ICE!!! THE HARD WATER SEASON IN SOUTH EAST MICHIGAN IS OVER TODAY !!!
Take a good long look, this is the last hard water fish I will be posting this season
