Solitude in the Uintas
It's finally starting to look like Summer in the high country! I took a trip this week hoping to catch some solitude and some hungry fish, and found both. The hike was the main event of the trip, as I traveled a total of 26 miles, some of which were over loose rock and downed timber. The trails were in awful shape after the heavy winter and it didn't look like the forest service has had a chance yet to clean them up.

The fishing was fast for Brook and Cutthroat Trout, landed so many the first night that I actually got a little bored with the fishing Sly

The highlight of the trip was the solitude. I spent 2 nights back there and didn't see another soul until I came back over the pass and headed closer to the trailhead. I'm sure many here will be able to guess where I was after looking at the picture.

Hopefully you can see the fish jumping in the video.

Thanks for the report. It has been about 25 years since I have been there. I would love to sea it again some day.
