Well, I guess that's fishing.
For sure if anyone saw the kokanee setup that I stumbled on, they'd think I was nuts. Frankly I probably am but then, most of the great fisherman I know personally fit that bill as well so I guess having company in the dept. is a good thing.
I've heard numerous stories on the squidy-approach. Frankly before the gorge, I never bothered to try it. The only reason that setup was tried was out of sheer desperation to try to catch something on that lake because I can show hundreds of lures that don't work!
I've tried everything from the $1.50 lure, to the $45 lure...for whatever reason, none of them worked.
As I say time and again, it's not about being right, it's about being lucky.
