Well, I guess that's fishing.

For sure if anyone saw the kokanee setup that I stumbled on, they'd think I was nuts. Frankly I probably am but then, most of the great fisherman I know personally fit that bill as well so I guess having company in the dept. is a good thing.

I've heard numerous stories on the squidy-approach. Frankly before the gorge, I never bothered to try it. The only reason that setup was tried was out of sheer desperation to try to catch something on that lake because I can show hundreds of lures that don't work!

I've tried everything from the $1.50 lure, to the $45 lure...for whatever reason, none of them worked.

As I say time and again, it's not about being right, it's about being lucky.

I am extremely impressed with your catch and yes, especially on that rather different tackle/technique (for macks anyway).

I sure wish you would have set a much different example for the kids regarding the keeping of those big boys. Man, someone will eating a LOT of mackinaw for a LONG time!

It was smoked and like all our family events, was shared among with those closest to us. We had a tremendous family and friends gathering, wonderful food and enjoyed an afternoon and evening's fun of listening to our next generation share their stories of the wonderful trips and time on the lake that will NEVER be forgotten.

You can't buy that no matter how much money you have.

u must have one hell of a large family to eat 100 pounds of macks in 2 days like u say to each there own.it only takes about 25 years to grow em up as big as the ones u got. lets see the little guys in the pictures should be about 30.if they cant catch one then maybe they can look back at the pictures and say why cant we catch fish like that no more.

Silly....we caught 100lbs of Mack, we didn't eat everything we caught, the others were released.
