Ice season is just around the corner and we still don't have enough solid commitments to have a good competetive contest. My personal minimum is 12 and we are at 7 and a maybe.

Considering that I still need to make a logo and we still have some rules to hash out, I'm giving it until the 15th. If we don't have at least 12 solid commitments by the 15th. I'm throwing in the towel. It makes me sad too, cause I really enjoyed the contest last year.

What are the rules?
Big Lake Trout should be caught, handled correctly and turned back to catch another day.

Exact rules are yet to be determined, but the proposed rules are listed in the Ice Fishing section. Waiting to gather input on the rules from those who want to compete.

Im the same, I dont plan on winning but, Its something fun for the winter. I usually do ice fish 5 or 6 different places, this will be cool to just be involved in. Im sure I will run into a few of you, especially at Henrys Lake! Good luck to everyone and Be Safe!

I try not to keep anything but the Kokes I catch through the ice but a few are having their "Kodak" moment this year!

14 on the un-official list. It's looking pretty good so far! Hope all of you on the list come through. It should be a great contest with a lot of great competitors this year.

I've emailed everyone on my email list for the contest a copy of the latest revision of rules. Hopefully this will be the final revision. Please check them over and get back to me QUICKLY if you have major issues with them. Others can still sign up, but I wont be accepting input on the rules from them like I have been from the ones on my email list. I'd like to get the rules finalized and posted as "OFFICIAL" so others will know completely what they are signing up for and can enter if they choose to do so. You have until Tuesday to respond to the email on the rules.......

Ok, I will jump in if you need more to make twenty. If someone with more interest in ice fishing wants in and you limit it to twenty cut me out.
I will say upfront I haven't ice fished in years, I may not this year but this may get me out on a frozen lake. I have gotten more than my entry fees worth of information and entertainment from this site and many of the participants in the contest so what the heck.
edited after posting: looking at some other threads here and remembering some things. Ice tents and houses, power augers, ice fishing specific finders....wow...who knows what may happen.

My checks on the way, the 17th is it's delivery time. Wheres some ice, wheres some ice, I neeeeed some ice. Also need to get the boat ready for the winter, so much to do!

I am so in! I will be searching every water hole from Palisades to Cascade! Loved the contest last year and all the good reports. Its about time I got my rear out of hibernation. If you are short a couple of fishermen my son would like to register on BFT, but he is only 12; therefore, I don't know if this is acceptable or not. If this is OK I will be happy to send $20 for both our registrations. See you all on the ice in just a few days.

It's okay for your son to join in, and we only have 3 openings left (1 if you and your son are both in), but it would be $30 for 2 people. You may not have read all the proposed rules updates, but that was one of them. I hope to have the completed official rules ready by Tuesday.
