Fishing

I've given a few "heads ups" that this was coming and haven't had any objections, so I'm declaring the contest as "OVER".

Since I have both the largest fish and the most overall points, I guess I won both categories this year. It would feel extremely odd to buy myself a trophy, so that won't be happening. I hope that is okay with everyone who submitted money for the contest. Instead, all $300 will be going to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Once I have the receipt, I'll post a copy here.

I just wanted to mention some milestones for this contest and also make some "HONORABLE MENTION" awards.

Milestone #1. 12 species were represented.
Milestone #2. 1217 inches of fish were scored.
Milestone #3. First time we had a full 20 contestants sign up.
Milestone #4. 5 contestants registered 7 or more species.

Honorable mentions:
Palisades99 - Largest Cutbow. 25 inches.
Outdoorsman1 - Largest Largemouth Bass. 16.5 inches.
Iwantabuggy - Largest Brook. 22.5 inches.
Curt69 and Outdoorman1 - Tied for largest Rainbow. 22.5 inches.
Hookedlikeu - Largest Brown. 22 inches.
Outdoorsman1 and Iwantabuggy - Tied for largest Perch. 14 inches.

Thanks to all for competing. It was very enjoyable and I hope we will do it again next year (with someone else at the helm).

Thanks for doing a great job with the contest this year. Congrats on the big win. I just got so busy I couldn't really get into it. Heres hoping next year I will be able to really go for it.
