Fishing

hey guys has anybody been fishing or drove by east canyon to see what kind of water level it is. high, low, average? been wanting to hit it up as soon as the road opens.

i would say its average. ice free, saw alot of tube on it the other week

there were probly alot of people cause they just stocked slimers in there on the 23rd of march. i also read that its high and filling fast, which means some good spring fishing for what im after. thanks Kochanut

I fished it this morning, doing a little R&D on some lures I have been tinkering with......The rock is about five feet above the water line.

You could take I-80 to I-84 and go in from the morgan/hennifer side

 i was thinking that just debating on time and gas, the other way on 65 takes me 20 minutes from home. i also saw online that the water temp is 45, 46 degrees so its a little cold still but8 more degrees and its crappie time!!!!!!!!!!




TIGHTLINES

My son and I have fished it twice in the last week. Just quick trips before or after work and have done very well both times for nice trout. We have been driving in through the Jeremy Ranch road which hasn't been too bad and has the added benefit of seeing lots of wildlife. Last night we saw about 50-60 elk, 6 moose, and 6 deer coming back. The lake is up high and the water is chilly.

fished EC last night, with the storm coming in figured things would be slow, well i was right!!

On a good note hooked into a purrrty decent brown on my 2nd cast only to have him come off, oh well it happens. had a few hits and follows but took another hr to put a football looking bow in the boat!

Ended up with a total of 3 fish boated and another 3 that were longlined released!

2 bows and 1 21" tiger
water temp 41.4
water clarity bout 5 ft down in some areas
lake is rising

marked most fish in 20+ fow caught fish and had all action withinn 10ft of shore

Were you fishing from a boat, tube, or shore? Is the marina open to launch a boat? I would like to go up early next week while there is going to be some nice weather.
