Fishing

This is a late report thanks to the real pieces of work that keep throwing out threats that they are going to out this spot. You know who you are. No naming this place guys!

Went back again to try my hand at Fly Fishing yesterday. Did well in fact it was my greatest day yet! I got 16 cutts, lost 9 and missed 10 hits. It was a fun day to say the least. Caught a cutt that I might frame the pic of on my wall! Biggest was just over 15 inches. One 14 incher got foul hooked and boy he shot like a bullet around the place. Good thing I didn't have too much gravel in my reel! Almost got to the backing. What a hoot! Well the action died by 2pm but I stayed an hour and a half watching cutts attack my indicator, my swivel, and even my line. I am convinced ANY dry fly will work. I will be testing out that theory this morning.

those are way pretty. great color. almost stopped by little Dell on Monday but ended up having to go back to my honey hole I'm the Weber and did great there once again! looks like your might need to start putting in more time with that fly rod with that kind of success

P.S. Great work on the weeb....sounds like you got that place all figured out now....if only I could do the same on that river...only one section treats me good on that whole river...and that is in late fall!

Beautiful pictures TDT...if I caught a cutty that colorful I would frame it on my wall too....the picture of course. That yellow slash is a rare treat...only caught one of those before! Glad to see you are lovin the fly rod....you traitor!!!!!!

No I am pretty sure I am. See, I was so excited about TNT getting into fly fishing specially on those C&R waters, I was already to try and keep his interest by showing him afew things, and even giving him a furled leader and some flies, in return, maybe not mention Little Dell so often. I didn't ask him to quit posting specially the beautiful pictures, just leave some to the imagination and maybe pm's, but I guess I was "asking" too much.
Oh well, I will find someone to take under my wing...LOL

it keeps getting better this year everytime ive hit it. just strpping a big green drake nymph below the surface is money. also a big stimulator with a midge larvae dropper are good too. well have to flyfish it sometime soon since the weather keeps getting better.

How many times have we gone through this Flygoddess...I gotta better question for ya....how many times DO we need to go through this...We chose to report on Little Delll....we still choose to report on Little Dell...get over it already and quit acting like you own the place. i like the LD reports, the twins have helped me out alot when i head out there since they hit it atleast once a week, dont quit the LD post, there some of the best pics on the forum

Seriously..had you shown me the place and how to fish it...then told me, "k I do not want to see a post about this place" then yes I would honor that and not post about it...but that is not what happend...We found the place on our own...you are just some local at Little Dell that is all bugged about seeing it on the open forums. Go cry elsewhere.

Here it is for all to see. I "ASKED" you to please lighten up on the "LITTLE DELL" name dropping. That was all I asked you!. I did not tell you to quit fishing there or anywhere else for that matter. Just call it a lake like you do with 100 fish one. That was all and only because it is a very small parking lot. You have answered with "not going to happen" so be it. It is all about you. Nice fish bro! You need to come up and fish fish the Ogden or Weber with me before the runoff starts.

     I think the upper Logan river has fish the equal of those colors. That first one IS especially beautiful! Read the proclomation though. There are no secrets on this board, just secrets we keep ourselves....

     I am not outing anyone's "place". My point is you can catch cuts that colorful a lot of places very near to our cities. And I was giving one such place. There are a lot of others I am glad to share.
