What are some good baits to use during ice off? Any help or info on baits and tactics would be appreciated. Thanks.

Countdown Rapala's in Rainbow Trout or Gold....size CD 7 or CD 9. I prefer CD 9 because you can get further casting distances with it.

That lake is great during ice out, white tube jigs, black marabou jigs, rapalas, as stated above. I found black stuff on a sunny day, and minnow imitators on cloudy days. Also soldier creek I always do better with white tubes than I do on strawberry. It could just be where I fish. If it's rocky, try rapalas, tubes, or dead minnows. If it's shallow and sage brush under water try black jigs. Drove up last night, I'm thinking next weekend should be very crowded up there.

  Never under estimate a worm and a marshmallow when the ice comes off.

White Super Duper with red dots is my go to lure for the Berry for the month after ice off.
I'll bet lots of other stuff works and a black maribou or twister used to be my go to, but since I've been super-duper-n them, that's all I use.
No need for me to try other lures, cause I catch em plenty on the Super Duper.

The fly flingers love olive and black maribou streamers. Most tied "Clouser" style with barbell eyes.
