Hit Lake Absaracca the other day for like the 30th time this year looking to hook my first bass of 2012.

Water was cold and fresh 48 Degrees as they just started putting water back in the lake the other day and it is as full as I have seen it!

Noticed I was not the only angler on the lake that day...

Not sure what type of fish he was targeting, but he seemed, like myself to be enjoying the nice spring weather!

This first bass hit after I spent half the day trying the new things I had been trying, and went back to the same drop shot 3" grub I had luck on last year!

This second bass came soon afterward...

Kalin Lunker Grubs came through again! Try as I do it always seems to take till the middle of April before I can get a bass to bite! I am not about to let that stop me though!

Great time as always fishing, lots of coffee, humor and fresh air! Have a good un guys. LBD

I was wondering where you were at...Your usually quacking your ass off about bass Fishing. I have not tried fro Bass yet, just hit the Beaver Ponds once so far and Crystal.

You mean to tell me,this is your first fish oh the year!!! tsk,tsk, ha,ha j/k my friend. Glad to see you remember how to set the hook..........

Wardawg, I have been fishing my little black duck butt off trying for that first Bass of the year, seems like a really tough chore to get one before April, but I enjoy the challenge! I am not pullin yer leg I have hit that lake about 30 times, but now let the catching/quacking begin! heh

Umm I never said it was my first fish of the year just my first Real fish of the year, a Largemouth Bass! Remember, I still ice fish and have caught many slimy stinking trout and Kokanee this year, *wipes hands on pants* but they are not really good fighters and are not very post worthy! Heh...
