Fishing

 Hit Willard this morning with my friend David till about 130 or so. Water temp was about 62 when we got off. Not hot lures or speed today. Fish were picky and not picky at the same time, one of those days. We would put down one color of blade and it would get a fish or two then another blade and the same would happen. Wound up with 12 walleye in the boat with 4-5 others lost, released the largest one and kept some eaters. Oh... And one catfish that decided to release it's bowels all over my bow. Most of the fish were super super light biting, definitely put my Wally skills to the test today. All fish were caught bottom bouncing at .6 mph to 1.0 mph in 15-16 feet of water.

     Lol. I saw the picture and I suddenly realized how many times I must have seen you out there and never said Hi. Well Hi now. Good job on the eyes. The only thing better hen catching them, is eating them.

Nice Mike, Willard sure is helping with the tight dining budget so far. Hopefully it stays nice and steady. Just gotta find some more fish that take some draggggggggg.

Catch one bigger than 15". Your 4mph wiper trolling is right around the corner.....

Come on Mike, I haven't gone over 1.5 mph yet this year and there has been some solid wipers(and some little walleye) in the boat, give me some credit here..... And I am saving all the big walleye catching for tournament days

Glad to see you finally got the grump old !@#$@!$#! out there! I was thinking to give him a call as soon as I get through the boy's graduation anyhow. Wile it may not have been hot and heavy, it looks like a good day on the water for a fish fry!

Dude, you are killing me!!! I can't go fishing this weekend or next weekend. All tied up with the end of high school for the boy. Hoping to get rid of my family by the 31st so I can then get some quality time up at Starvy!
I hope you do great up there, they ought to really be turning on about now.
Hoping this year I can finally get that one for the wall!

I know of 3 over 12# so far out of Boysen this spring.
Been without my boat for 15 days, 8 hours and 22 minutes and it's killing me
Chipped a gear in the lower unit and they are replacing the whole lower gear case and housing under warrenty, Good thing cause the bill is about $16,000.
Missed out on 2 tourneys so far this spring. I'm supposed to get the boat back next week.

Nice Job Mike. Save some of that luck for when you get here in June. Don't forget to put the entry check in the mail about the 29th of May.

I sure wish I could drop everything right now and come over to take you fishing old man!
I need to stay here and get this kid out of HS though. Hoping to be through with all that about the end of the month.

I wish you could make it over to Todd. Hopefully this summer.
I have tourneys starting the 2nd of June and then every weekend through June.
Qualified for the Cabela's Western Division Championship tourney over in South Dakota. I would like to go but have to wait and see what Mikes plans are.
It's been an exciting spring for me and Deb. We got on board with Mack's Lures Co. for a V.I.P. sponsership program and it looks like Planes Tire Co. is going to pick us up to. The tire store is great. Tires for the truck,boat trailer, 5th wheel, oil changes ect.
Probably a good thing the boats been down. At least I finally have the new cedar fence up that I've been putting off for the last 2 years.

Glad to see you on the site Roger, sorry to hear about the boat problems. Only been on Willard once this spring, been spending time scouting for turkeys, you know me, hunting 1st, fishing 2nd. I stopped by Dan's shop last weekend to drop Brenda's turkey off to get mounted and he has a couple 12 pound + walleye that he is mounting that were caught this spring. Hope you have a great summer up there and all the best at your tourneys.
