Hows the Fishing in Columbia?
Hello all!

I'm Aron, Just about to move to Ft. Jackson next month, I am coming from Germany where the Fishing is awesome and was just trying to see how it was in the Area. I seen there are a couple lakes, what are the common fish caught? I don't know anything about the area, but have herd nothing but good things. Really looking forward to coming down and meeting some people!

Any Info about the Area and Fishing would be great!

Thanks,

Aron

Columbia is good for fishing. Probably the best lake for bass is Lake Murray. If catfish is what you are after, then go around the Lake Murray Dam. I personally fish the rivers. The Congaree, The Saluda, and The Broad are some good rivers to fish on. There is also the Congaree Swamp. I hope this little bit of information helps.
