asked this question a while ago on what fishing line everbody likes to use. It turned out that the silver thread excalibur was the way to go. Is it still that way or is there some new fancey stuff out there that is better. Thanks for your info guys

I use spiderwire 8lb, its incredible, but recently I tried 4lb spiderwire and have had nothing but problems with it, it keeps getting tangled when I cast it out and it is not on the reel loose at all, I can't understand what is going on. I've attached a pic of the small lake out the back door.
