Got my mount back, I think it looks great. Had Taxidermy West in Rexburg do it and he was very good to deal with. Tell me what you think!

Maybe it's just me or the angle but the mouth looks a little odd. Otherwise, looks awesome. Nice Brown. I see why you had a mount done.

B.guy wow you did good taxidermy west is the best in this state I have many mounts and with out question he is the best!!!!! Nice brown the pic i'm sure dosent even come close to the detail he puts into his mounts to see them up close.He also is a NICE guy and very fair priced.

The detail is what makes it so good, the paint job is really close to the actual fish and it looks great. the head is turned up just a little bit but it looks good that way, It's hung up on the wall and i didn't want to mess with it too much so I had to lift the camera up high to try to get a decent angle on it. I dropped that one off to be mounted and told him I would probably catch a bigger one right after I dropped it off. luckily I didn't quite get one that was bigger, just close.

Nice mount. Do you have a picture of the fish before it was mounted? Would be cool to see the before and after. Also, how big was it?

The fish was 32 long when it was caught, its high enough on the wall that it would take a pretty tall person wearing a ten gallon hat to get to it but yeah I really wanted to put it on the main wall you see when you come in the house but the family pictures that were already there won out when I tried to talk my wife into making a shrine to my fish there .

A fish like that deserves to be a stepson at least. Put him with the family pics.

I might have Ron. So my brother was over tonight and I watched him walk by the mount...it's definitely getting moved. Time to see if those doghouse threats were real and try to rearrange some family pics so I have room in a safer place for him.
