Sulpher Creek
My nephew and I fished Sulpher Creek from 8am 'til about noon yesterday( 8-8). We trolled Kokanee Creek splatter spinners behind a dodger and did well. We caught 15 or 16 rainbows, but the average length was only about 14 or 15 inches. Almost all of the fish had sores on them, some really nasty looking, guess they come from worms? Lake is pretty low, docks are high and dry.

We fished Sulpher creek this morning for a couple hours. Caught several, but they were all covered in parasites. Big sores, lots of them. We turned every thing loose. Feel bad for them fish. wyoguy is right, some of them are really nasty looking. I won't be going back there untill the ice is good.

Hello
I talked to a game officer last year and he said the sores are not harmfull to the fish or humans
I caught some last week filleted the trout then skined them. Sores stayed on skin, fillets were beautiful and taisty, fish were fat and seemed healthy. I would not let some cosmedic marks stop you fom eating the SC fish.

We are going to try to make it up for the ice fishing derby this winter, couldn't make last year's. I met Perchski at a banquet in Evanston last winter and it sounds like they have a good time on the lake. I think it is a great thing to help support the girl's ball teams in Evanston.

Well Packfan, bring your dirt auger. The resovoir has not been this low since they rebuilt the dam in the 80`s. It is a pretty sad sight. That is why they have all the parasites going right now. There is no reason for them to have pulled it down so low unless they are going to poisen it to get rid of the small mouth and walleye. I sure hope they dont but that is what it is looking like. I'm sure if it is too low they won't hold the event, I would imagine Perchski will inform everyone later if there will be a tournament. The wife and I are looking forward to it if they do hold one this winter.

Hey Packfan, how's life been treating you? We are planning to hold the derby on February 2, 2013. As soon as the lake freezes up, I'll make a run out there and give a fishing report. Hope all is well and hope we'll see ya on the deck this year.
See You At The Sulphur Creek Ice Fishing Derby February 2, 2013!
