Middle Chesapeake Bay Report
Fished on 11/12/2000

Water Temperature: 56
Water Clarity: 3'
Seas: 4'
Weather: Sunny & windy
Fishing_for: Striped Bass & Trout

Captain: John Wilkinson

Even though the winds blew late in the week we were able to get in trips for striped bass and trout.
Chumming at the Hill continues to produce many small bass with some trout mixed in. There are large
bass available on the channel edges in the Parkers Creek area, and large trout are available all along
the channel edge in 50' to 100' depths. Our largest trout this week was 26". Some nice fat perch are
available in the Thomas Point area. Jigging stingsilvers with deceiver teasers were catching trout, bass,
and perch. There was a 50/50 ratio between the teasers and the lures with many double headers
coming over the rail. Some of our anglers had trouble discerning a bite, since most hits were on the
drop, but once they got the feel for the lures they did well. Our largest fish were caught on livelined
perch. The season will be over soon (19 days left), and the large fish are just beginning to show. Too
