I'm glad somebody else out there knows about it. All his books are so good, I just wish he was more prolific.

Sawyers, Keeper of the River. Read that book and you will learn more than any teacher or guide knows.

The Brothers K is also an excellent reade...despite only have a couple short passages about fishing. River Teeth--the short story collection--also has some gems in it! My
Story As Told By Water also is a must for all fishermen...although it is a bit overly didactic at times, it too is superb! God Laughs and Plays, though, was not too good...way too political and preachy! I am hoping that Duncan comes out with another novel that isn't so heavy and politically motivated/charged.

Supposedly he's working on a novel right now, I just don't know how long it's going to take him. It seems like he's been working on it for a long, long, time.

Yeah...I bought the movie as soon as it hit DVD. I was pleasantly surprised; I thought they did a respectable job...but, like any good book compared to its movie, without the book the movie is only so-so. The book is incredible!

I have it in my queue right now, just haven't gotten to watching it yet. I've been hesitant to watch it, because I'm always wary of film adaptations of books I really love, plus I know the author wasn't happy about. Now that I have Netflix though, I might as well check it out.

Ya I have learned to just take it for what's its worth... The only film adaptations I have really enjoyed were call of the wild and Harry potter!

I've been reading the start of a great fishing book with great pictures right here and plan to buy a copy of the The Dye Twin's first fishing book as soon as it becomes available, but the authors are in the research phase and still getting fishing adventure content for their future fishing book.

Ronald :)
