yes, Adam started at age 4 on the tiddler lake and caught ornamental carp and then I moved him onto the tench lake at age 6-10.

His first 20lb carp is helping him to the next level - particularly playing in the fish on just 6lb line.

My plan is to take him to Florida keys at age 12 to experience some serious sea fishing.

sounds like he is up for a great time fishing.
Keep up the good work,

If you ever get the chance, the great lakes offer tons of opertunites for some serious fresh water fishing.

most here go for salmon, walley, yellow perch, muskie, tiger muskie, stergeon. there are a lot of bass, white fish, chanel cats, Buffalo or sheephead as they are called here. Most guys like to wait for the salmon to come up the river during the fall to target them, but in the summer they are chased after by boat in lake huron and lake michigan.

it not unherd of seeing 15 lb walleye being caught in the detroit river and st clair river. Lots of anglers target walleye in lake erie.

most of the salmon I get are around 12-15 pounds, but there are lots of 30-40 pounders out there. I did bring in a 30 pound chinook a number of years ago, one and my arms turned to jelly after fighting him for 45 minutes. and I was sore for the next 3 days. I have had on a few more like that since, but they are not easy to get in.

the sheephead and carp get humungous as well, you get in to the right spot you can pull up 5-10 pounders all day, and on ocation see 15-50 pounders. I managed to pull in a 42 pound carp on a fly rod.

Pike, muskie and tiger muskie are a riot on lake st clair, they reach in excess of 70 inches, my biggest is 42.

Stergeon, the state record is 115 lbs, but we are sure there are bigger ones out there.

there are of corse every ones favorite bass both larg and small mouth,

our charter guides are pretty good at putting you on the fish if you want to go that rought.
