strawberry help
prob taking the little woman up to the berry this weekend, shore fishing. I wanna throw some tubes and other things off the bottom. I was curious what areas are friendly for that? I don't wanna snag up non stop in brush areas or big rocky areas like SC dam area. Thanks for any tips on areas, I plan on taking a bunch of tubes and jigs cause I know snags happen. I'm also throwing every fish back, slot busters included. thanks for any tips or advice. I've also wondered how well hook ups would be if I texas rigged a tube for trout?

I was actually going to recommend you try a Texas rig, or even a drop shot. I was fishing for bass around the island of DC last week and caught a few trout on a drop shot/texas rig hybrid. (that is, I don't know how to do it properly, so I made up my own) I have a feeling the trout up at the Berry would smack tubes and crayfish plastics with gusto.

Haw's Point is usually pretty good for shore fishing. Think I'd try using a worm under a bobber. I'd also try some weighted flies behind a bubble. Chicken Creek West and walk east for a fair amount might not be to bad.
