minersville
We have deer tags down that way and were thinking of fishing it a bit.
Has anyone fished Minersville lately? If so what are the water conditions like?
Were you catching and then of course what kind of fish and if you would on what.

Thanks

They have been biting pretty good. Mostly Rainbows 15" to 20" with a few bigger.
A couple of 29 inchers have been caught this year. Big flies on the bottom, feathered and plastic jigs, some trolled plugs out deep.

A few decent bass being caught if you fish for them. Crank baits, small spinners, some plastics.

The lake is kind of low and alittle off color.

3 or 4 hundred honkers and a few snows using the lake already plus quite a few ducks around if you have a stamp.

Ended up with close to 90% of annual rain fall. Most of that came in July. and Aug.
That really scattered the Deer. Did get a little whiff of snow last week from about 6500
up. Not enough to change the summer pattern. Might have to cover a lot of country to find something decent if we don't get some weather. Go low.

Hope that helped.

Thanks.
I think we will pull the boat down hunt in the morning and then fish in the afternoon and evening.
I would imagine most of the bass are in the rocks by the dam, if the water is low I would think none of the trees are in the water.

Thanks again.
