THURSDAY

Went up to a lake with FlyFishingLover that a friendly little bird on my shoulder told me about. The fall colors were at their peak.



And the wildlife was out and willing to pose for a few shots.



At the lake I tired some flies...but I did not have any of the local bug and aquatic life on me (brown scuds, spiders and salamanders). So tube jigs worked on the first 2 fish.....and I lost a HUGE Tiger Trout.




Moved up the creek and where it was only 2 feet across I fly casted a Black Ant and pulled out a 18.5 inch Cutthroat Trout. The picture lighting was better facing the reservoir though.


There was a lack of action for the both us.......so off in the car we went for a drive.....and Starvation Reservoir was the target. Fall was in full swing there too.







Which meant it was time to catch those lovable Brown Trout the area is known for.







Up at the lake FlyFishingLover hooked into a decent Walleye....he taped it at 17in....however you have to put the tape along side the fish for an accurate measurement.....not ON the fish! (Sorry dude but you are adding inches by measuring length with girth).



The sunset started up........




........and it was time to find a campsite.....$20 a night at Starvation! OUCH.....we spent some extra gas money just to camp by ourselves at the 1st lake of the trip...and we got the place to ourselves.

FRIDAY

The next morning the place was smooth as glass.





And no fish were landed....they bit....but were not landed....so back to Starvy we went. And of course got into some more browns.











FFL was not getting any action so I threw him a tube jig and taught him how to use it. Of course he landed 2 Browns.....the 2nd being a nice 4lbs 7oz Brown!





At the lake he got on a tube and landed a bass and a 10in Walleye. I had a really BAD headache, so I went to a spot that looked bassy and caught a few SMB...this being the biggest.



Soon the sunset started up...and boy was it a good one!

Sure have and no where is there a rule that was broken on this post. I have checked the proc 3 times, spoke to buddies on the phone, and told the fish shops about the places that they went to (twice since their trip) and no rules were broken anywhere they went to.

In fact so far those that made this claim have failed to reply to my PM's and provide actual proof that there was a rule broken. I asked for official sources and I have not got one back from anybody.

Looks legal to me. A lot of people think special regs exist on those waters that don't. Why bother trying to enlighten all of them when you don't want to share the place with them anyway. Hope you made good use of those SMB and cooked up some fish tacos.

sweet fish!!! did you take any of the browns for dinner?? them are my favorite to keep and eat when I have a hankering for fish!!! nice looking fish though... try a maniac custom lure, 3" manniac minnow white in color for them browns if you get a chance...

Ya my dad got an amazing printer so we going to print it on cambious paper or what ever its called and hang it in my room :). As well for a few other pics from this trip to remember the amazing day. 22 in brown is so far my biggest brown trout .

Another 2 species off the bucket list for this year. Not a lot more till my Utah bucket list is done . This year is my personal best year to knock down the list.

Oh yeah I know what your talking about...can't remember if that's how u spell it but yeah. That's sweet. I only have certain cool fish pictures cause this year I only started caring about pictures and lots of my trips I was to scared to take the pictures cause of my stupidity when it comes to water and phones haha. I do lots of art like drawing painting, etc...Those Browns like the one u were holding at the bottom would look sick. To bad this weeks bad weather! (Wow I almost just banned. Luckily i "watched" my language before I just hit sent lol.
