Muskie Magnet Jerkbait

Location: Lake Katchabigun

Once you know everything about anything its what you learn afterwards that counts.

Skunked, we never get skunked its the fish getting skunked as they just kept missing our lures.

agree 110%, these lures can be hard to find and run
$26 + shipping for the smaller size, well worth it though

Welp - you're getting advice from a couple Utah Musky Masters - so they may not know your local waters.

But - riddle me this - what water clarity/color are your river? Also - what bait fish are predominant? Got Shad, Perch?

Match the hatch... firetiger is usually a pretty good go-to.
Also depends some on your fishing style - going topwater, or big wobble dog-walking?

I've done pretty with this little pup (ok, so it's a 1oz jig, not that little) Bagley Belly Button - perch pattern for a lake full of perch.

clear to murky. shad, perch and bluegill are abundant. i walk the banks and rip-rap. have never fished for muskie. normaly i fish for sauger, walleye and trout during the cold months and decided to give it a try after reading the posts and seeing the pictures of muskie the members have posted.
i love jig types of lures and will find one tonight if they are not sold out also. topwater fishing i do but do not know what "big wobble dog-walking" is.

i found a perch muskie magnet but the smaller one was sold out.
wish i would have used a heavier test line on my reel now. 12# test vanish line may be a little lite.

thank you for all of the great info guys! this gets me off to a great start.

muskie magnet lures must be good, over half of their stock is sold out. todays goal for me is to find the bagly jig. weather is to bad to fish so it is lure shopping time.

if the weather does not break soon my bank acct will.........lol.
