Thanx for the help guys. Knowing the ice was safe from people on this site made for a great day. We were at Panguitch Lake and fishing was WIDE open. They ate the pink ice fly I tied over and over! Enjoy

Oh man, hot-boxing the ice shanty... My lungs hurt just thinking about it! (quit smoking eight years ago and I still wake up a few times a year with aching lungs, like I used to get when I would marinate in a bar or car and rip through a few packs/bongs)

Thanx Coyotespinner ya I tie right to the jig head. I'm a rookie in the world of tying but these are real easy. Sometime i like to think outside the box....so I tossed that hackle on the back of um a few years ago and found that they work great. I caught fish tipping with meal worm and raw jigging. I like this site and think I will hang out a while seems very helpful. Looking to try out some spots op north this winter. Cheers

Um... my program consisted of me marrying a hot Mormon chick. While it worked for me, there are much easier, less expensive, and not nearly as bat-sh*t crazy programs out there.

Great report! I'm heading up to PL on Tuesday. How thick was the ice and could you get a wheeler out from the ramp or is the snow too thick? One pic looked a little iffy on the depth of snow.

Well I was back at PL yesterday and it snowed quite a bit and was snowing still when I left. I would say maybe 6-7in of snow on the ice and ice thickness was between 6-8in thick. Saw some folks with atvs and side by sides on the lake. Fishing was fast....started in about 15 feet of water and was only seeing small fish. Moved out to about 30 feet or so and started seeing bigger ones. 30 plus fish days there right now. Good luck hope this helps!
