PUEBLO, Colo. - The Rock Canyon Day-Use Area swim beach at Lake Pueblo State Park will be closed through the weekend due to heavy rains and flooding. The rain storm in the Pueblo area on Wednesday caused flooding, standing water and water drainage issues which have resulted in the need for closure of the Rock Canyon Swim Beach until further notice.
While the re-opening of the swimming area is unclear at this time, it will be closed through at least Monday, Aug.12. The beach will re-open as soon as the flooding damage is repaired and the swim beach water tests pass required health department tests.
