For the Texas rig, I like to use a 6'6" G. Loomis Rod with a Team Daiwa reel on it. Spooled with 10 or 12 pound P-Line for maximum strength. I will fish this bait in 10 to 15ft. of water for the bigger bass staging out deep. The bigger bass seem to stay away from the super shallow water where they are more easy to catch. I like to use a Green Weenie and Purple Weenie colors for best results. I prefer the 6" and 7" worms for this application.

The next rig, Drop-Shot is the best of all rigs ever made. Starting in Japan a few years ago, it is still new and bass love it to death. I think it is new and Big bass just like its little way of movements. I Use a Shimano 6' Convergence Rod and a Shimano Chronarch reel with 8 pound Maxima line. This gives the finesse necessary for them to bite continually. My favorite worms are the 4.5" Deadly Duo Worms in Green Weenie and Purple Weenie. Try these out deeper. This huge bass of 15.25 pounds ate a 4.5" Green Weenie in 15ft of water. So is that good enough reasons?

I suggest that next time you go out for huge bass during the spring and spawn seasons, use little finesse baits. This is a rig that many use for big bass and bass in general, but it works for big bass better than others in my opinion. So go out and get a hold of these worms and get bit!!!!
