Everyone hears of all those fish attractant on the market today. Yes they are a good piece of tackle to have. This will help you hook and land a lot more bass that are weary and not to willing to bite the hook. If the bass are reluctant to bite the lure, put some on the line and hold on, they will become more willing to bite. My first tourney ever, I used this and I got a 7.28 pound bass on my first cast and I didn't even know he bit the lure, her just gobbled it down. These attractants are very crucial when fishing any type of soft plastic: worm, lizard, jig, or brush hogs. Whatever you use, put this on and you will get more bites and more hook ups.
