One Tough Snorkeler
SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA—Snorkeler Luke Tresoglavic recently swam 1,000 feet to shore, walked to his car and drove to a local surf club—all with a 23-inch carpet shark attached to his leg.
Tresoglavic says he was snorkeling near a reef when the shark bit his leg. The fish remained firmly clamped until lifeguards flushed its gills with freshwater.
Tresoglavic was taken to a hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.
