what lures are suitable for fresh water fishing?
Hi there, i am a green hand of fishing. i like river fishing very mch, but i don`t know what lure to use. Do i need to choose the specific lures to aim at some fish? If so, can you give me any ideas? i have minnows, rattles, topwater, but don`t know how and when to use them? Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks advance

My Darling, remember to use small lures when the big fish aren't biting.Have a small rod with 4to 6 lb line, and maybe the smallest rapalla with the two trebble hooks,or Rebel makes some small minnow lures. from 1" or 2.This way at least you catch the smaller fish the big ones are after, then use one for baitSly ,small suspenders also from rapala, and don't forget the jointed rapalas.

As Paulpro said use small lures when fishing is slow. Check these out. I guarentee that you will catch fish with them. They are too small for a double treble hooks, and you will miss a lot because of it, but they product more action than anything I carry im my box.

Amazingly I've cought more bass this year on them than my larger lures. Check out our "Small Lure" catagory at our store.

I saw all the lures thanks for your imput, but remember, nothing compares to Imilly www.wsfishing.com Paulpro FL mod
FL.mod Paulpro tip,2012 is going to be amazing, the highwater we had this year means the bass had a really good spawn, with my knowledge,I can time just right when the big fish are in the canals where they open to the glades, see its all about the hight of the water,as it goes up the bigger bass in the canal are the last to leave
the canal and go deep into the sawgrass into the glades away from the canal, and its the same thing as when the water level goes down. When the water is low you may notice hundreds of small bass, but as the water goes up,they will leave the canal before the bigger fish, therefor if you time it,there will be more big fish while the lunkers wait for the water to rise.Only then shall we catch them big ones

Imilly, your interest in fishing, and your line of work,it makes me happy . There's no one in this world like Imilly,Darling, are you going to try your luck again this weekend,I hope you try to fish.Remember, the proof is in the pudding,so make sure you take some pictures with your cellphone, you can throw bread and see if any fish come to eat,try places others fish,or gather, fish will know people feed them and gather at these places, use small hooks with bread. If you see lots of fish try a lure.

Hi,
In my opinion, best rod for fishing is a lightweight, sensitive, 6- to 7-foot fiberglass rod with a medium action tip or a light action tip, depending on the weight of the lure.

Why? You post some "poetry" online for the entire world to see, and you want ME to get mouth rot (whatever that is). Better learn to deal with a little criticism and thicken your skin little buckaroo. This is a fishing forum, not Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club or Match.com.
