Their 15-fish limit of bluegills tipped the scales at 8.97 pounds, earning them a $2,000 first-place check, as well as qualification for the $50,000 2005 North American Ice Fishing Championship in Alexandria, Minnesota next winter.
Wisconsinites Patrick Sobota and Scottie Sonsla took second place with 8.55 pounds, and Sean Kinsman and Dan Erath of Illinois, claimed third with 8.39 pounds.
