Walleye Seminar
I heard from a neighbor last night that the DWR was hosting another seminar on Walleye like the one last year in March. Haven't found anything on their web site. Has anyone else heard of one this year? Thanks

The seminar was on Thursday night. You missed it. But the good news is that they videoed it and it is on Utube at LINK TO SEMINAR.

THIS IS A LINK to the article in the Tribune last week announcing the seminar.

I hope you've been saving your fish carcasses (after filleting) for your garden....I save enough of mine for amazing fertilizer for garden stuff like tomatoes, bell and hot peppers, etc...."free" fertilizer, and it's the best...guluk...

Did anyone attend this. I could not but was interested in a brief on it. May have gone for a FB live on it. Just hoping for some feed back on where the Utah walleye program is going.

I went. It was pretty good, I would recommend watching the YouTube. A really brief summary: looks like the DWR is putting a pretty good effort in where they can. Starvation appears to have a size gap with plenty of 12" fish available, they are looking at introducing some forage fish to help. Powell is holding strong. Red fleet is coming along with surprising growth rates. Willard and UL are hanging in there. Yuba is struggling with a forage base. They spoke some on echo with the illegal introduction. They had two guest speakers on technique, swimbaits and jigging were mostly covered. They had four members of Rocky Mountain Anglers break down 4 locations on starvation. It was pretty informative. I don't think you can ever have too much info on others experiences. We even won a keeper of 8 pre rigged harnesses in the raffle. Those will get worked hard.
