Fishing

i went down to the office today and asked a few questions and found out that they do not regulate fishing guides and do not licence them.
some one tell me that this woman has no idea about the process or state rules or is she right?

can anyone who wants to turn a quick buck by trying to become a guide do so, and is that why there are so many people on ksl claiming to be professional guides and instructors..
just a thought

Federal Waters require licensed guides but State run waters don't.

have an accident on one of these "pro" guides boats and lets see how much of their insurance covers for you.

Legally, the DWR, or their parent the DNR, could not regulate a guide service. That is not within their jurisdiction. Such would fall under the perview of the Dept of Professional Licensing.
