How much has today’s economy effected your fishing this year

Everywhere I went this year, I saw fewer anglers on the water.

I am sure I don’t have to guess the reason, But for clerical sake I am putting this question to the test.

You may feel free to reply if you have not gone for other reasons, or you want to jump in on the topic.

Our fishing team fished Salmon-A-Rama this year and the price of gas (although down from this time last year) was still quite expensive on a daily basis. When you're trolling for several hours in the morning (and then again in the evening), you can run up a $50 to $100 gas tab a day. This is the biggest expense when fishing a 9 day tournament for everyone. Unless you get a top prize fish (to help pay off your gas fees), it can cost you a few paychecks. Even when you split the costs 4 ways like us, those fish you catch become very expensive. It would cheaper just to go buy your salmon and trout in the siper market. LOL.
Well thats my input.
