I was fluking around rockaway reef (new york) and only getting shorts on silver bullits,terminator bucktails,and just bait,then on one pole I tried a rubber 4" pink squid with a spearing and wham! 3-4 pounders lke crazy! put a white squid rig on another pole and the same, by the end of the day we had (there were 4 of us) over 75 shorts and 15 keeper! only a few shorts on the squid rigs and a 2 keepers on the s. bullit.
