this next weekend
#1
I was at Strawberry Friday night and Saturday morning. Catching was slower than I've seen it so far this ice season. I get about 2 miles away from the marina on my snowmobile. Last Friday I caught between 35 and 40 on Friday night and around 20 on Saturday morning. This last Friday I caught around 20 at night and 9 in the morning. Still not a bad day but not nearly as good as it has been. Slush this weekend was not bad at all. Much better than it has been. However, that may mean nothing for this weekend if they get a lot more snow. The advice every one seems to give on Strawberry would be the same for me. Get as far away from the crowd as you can, stay shallow (15 to 20 feet), use white or chartreuse tube jigs tipped with chub or wax worm. Lots of other stuff works but those are my go tos.
