easy steps for participation:
1.
Complete List of your clients for the past two years. In
order to earn your TOP RATED approval (in the books and on the
Internet) you must submit to us the complete list of your clients
for the past two years. We only use your client list once to
send them a questionnaire.
If you operate in a State or Province which requires your business
to file an official report with local, state or federal agency, you
need to provide us with a list identical to the one filed with the
agency. We are trying to keep everybody honest.
We
do not sell, trade or divulge your client list!!
2.
120-150 word description of your operation. Make this as
"yours" as you can. This will be your way to present and
advertise your business and yourself in the books and on the
Internet.
If you are running out of time we can, with your permission, cut and
paste some paragraphs from your brochure or your Internet page. We
will be happy to assist you, but we do not want to write it for you.
In our experience the description has a much better impact when it
is prepared by you.
3.
Map of the area in which you operate . Please supply a map of
the area in which you operate as general or as specific as you
choose. This will be used as a guide in the preparation of the color
map. You can also call the office and we will do the map over the
phone with you.
[Note: Bed & Breakfasts we will not need a map of the area but
road directions to your establishment.]
4. SLIDES / Photographs. You need to provide us with the best
quality slides/photographs you possibly can [we would like at least
one quality vertical shot]. Please remember that one picture is
worth a thousand words.
5.
ICON SHEET. Please circle the icons that best describe the
general services, activities and amenities of your business.
[Note: Please contact us if you do not see an icon to fit your
needs.]

How much will participation in the TOP RATED surveys cost me?
A: There is no cost to you! No hidden fees, no tricks.
Q:
How can I insure the best response from my clients?
A: Our research has shown that an introductory letter from you
presenting the TOP RATED concept to your clients greatly increases
the number of responses from the questionnaire.
Q:
Who decides if my business qualifies or not for publication?
A: Your clients, by rating your services in the TOP RATED
questionnaires. The data is elaborated by assigning a numerical
value to each question and computing the average values.
Q:
Can I qualify for more than one book? (i.e. fly fishing, bed &
breakfast)
A: Yes, indeed. We will need a client list for each application.
Example, 38 clients for the fly fishing trips and 289 clients for
the bed and breakfast. If you qualify you will be published in both
books.
Q:
Is there a minimum number of questionnaires that needs to be
returned?
A: Yes, there is a minimum number of responses and a minimum
percentage required.
